PocketSteward is a home maintenance tracking application operated by Besotware (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Account information: Your email address and a hashed password (if you sign up with email), or your name and email from Google or Microsoft if you use those to sign in.
Property information: Details you enter about your home — property name, home type, year built, square footage, roof type, exterior type, HVAC systems, and climate zone. This data is used solely to generate and prioritize maintenance tasks for you.
Task data: Maintenance tasks you create or that are generated from your property profile, including completion dates and notes.
Notification preferences: Whether you have opted in to email or push notifications and your preferred reminder timing. Push notification subscriptions are stored securely and used only to deliver reminders.
Billing information: We do not store payment card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, which handles all sensitive payment data. We receive only a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe.
Usage data: We do not run analytics trackers or collect behavioral data beyond what is necessary to operate your account.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated property data, tasks, and notification subscriptions are permanently deleted within 30 days. Billing records may be retained longer as required by financial regulations.

PocketSteward is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Product links in the app include our affiliate tag (pocketstewa08-20) and clicking them may result in a commission to us at no additional cost to you.
PocketSteward uses browser local storage to remember your active property selection and authentication session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Stripe and Amazon may set their own cookies when you interact with payment or product links.
PocketSteward is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of PocketSteward after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
